Hazrat Khanjahan Ali (ra) and his shrine in Bagerhat:
Hazrat Khanjahan Ali (ra) Born1369 and died October 25, 1459 AD. He was a Muslim preacher and local ruler of
Bagerhat in Bangladesh. And his other names include Ulugh Khan, Khan-i-Azam.

Ulugh Khan Jahan Ali (ra) was born in 1369 AD in Delhi to a Muslim aristocratic
family. His father's name is Akbar Khan and mother's name is Ambia Bibi. It is
thought that his ancestors were natives of Turkey. Although Khanjahan Ali
initially received his primary education from his father, he received his
secondary education from the famous Wali A Kamil Pir Shah Neyamat Ullah in
Delhi. He acquired a deep knowledge of the Qur'an, Hadith, Sunnah, Fiqh and
Islam.
Although little is known about his personal and family life, as far as is known, he lived a happy married life and had one or more wives. But he had none. Researchers speculate that he was a contemporary of Sultan Ghiyasuddin Azam Shah and was probably a close friend and general of Sultan Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah of Gaur. As a representative of Sultan Ghiyasuddin, he and his followers created a large settlement in the Bagerhat area and continued to rule the statThat is why he named Bagerhat "Khalifat-i-Abad". Hazrat Khanjahan (RA) was a great man whose great virtues have benefited, blessed and sanctified the entire Bhati region including Bagerhat. It is known that this great man was inspired by human love and started from Barobazar of Jessore and built 360 mosques and dug 360 dighis in the whole Bhati region during his lifetime. Mosques for worship in this region, which was first planted by the Muslims, and these lakes of drinking water in the lower reaches of the salt water, seemed to be a blessing from God to our people. It is also said that he built 360 mosques and dug 360 dighis, probably matching the number of 360 auliyas who accompanied him on his arrival in the region. To the people of this region, he was a supremely powerful man. Hundreds of famous people, despite the distribution of food to the poor and helpless, digging innumerable lakes to alleviate water scarcity, constructing roadblocks, setting up hats and bazaars, constructing innumerable beautiful mosques for religious worship, etc. The message continues to carry in the heart of every person irrespective of religion and caste in the vast areas of southern Bengal including the whole of Bengal.

Later, when Sultan Khanjahan led an invasion of Bengal with 70,000 well-educated advanced army members and another two lakh troops, Raja Ganesha took refuge at Bhaturia in Dinajpur. Then in 1418 AD Khanjahan Ali took up position at Barbazar in Jessore and began to propagate Islam in the south-western region of Bengal.
Khanjahan Ali's first wife's name was Sona Bibi. His second wife Rupa Bibi alias Bibi Begni was a convert to Islam. Hazrat Khanjahan Ali built two mosques named after his two wives, Sona Mosque and Bibi Begni Mosque.
Khanjahan Ali (ra) died on October 25, 1459 AD (according to the inscription of Khanjahan Ali Mazar Sharif, 63 AH, 26th Jilhaj) at the age of 90 while praying Esha in the court house of the sixty-domed mosque.
